Description
This course is designed for new Farm Administrators, for new entrants to the farming sector and for experienced Farm Administrators seeking a refresher course, who would like to understand more about the key financial nuances of a farm business and the key legal, regulatory and compliance requirements of farm accounts and financial record keeping.  Topics include the annual financial cycle, enterprise gross margins, VAT and partial exemption.  The course contains key aspects that need to be considered and how the student can keep up to date with the changing requirements in their line of work.   

By booking onto this course, students are confirming they have a recognised bookkeeping qualification at a minimum of Level 3 e.g.  AAT, ICB, IAB and/or relevant experience and, if new to the industry, then have completed Course 1.

The format of this course is pre-work and pre-work test, followed by a Zoom virtual classroom for each module, then access to short recordings and finally a course assessment.  Students receive the pre-work 3 weeks before the virtual classroom date, and the pre-work test needs to be submitted at least one week before the virtual classroom.  Students need to successfully pass the pre-work test to be able to join the virtual classroom sessions.

Equipment Notes

Please ensure you have an internet-enabled device capable of joining the Zoom virtual classroom for its duration, which also has a microphone, speakers and webcam so trainers and participants can all see and hear each other on Zoom. Your internet-enabled device will also be needed to do the pre-work, pre-work test and course assessment and to access the short recordings. Having a back-up internet-enabled device close at hand in case you experience unexpected IT issues with your usual device during the Zoom virtual classroom sessions is also advisable.
